Biography of Mangte Pa
Mangte Pa grew up in northern Virginia in the United States of America. After high school he joined the army and served as a Chaplain Assistant for over 5 years. While in the army he attained the rank of Sergeant and was an Airborne Ranger before returning to Virginia for college at a military institute. Sensing the call of God to the mission field, Mangte Pa went on a short term mission trip to China and Singapore and was soon recruited to serve as a missionary English teacher at a Thai Christian school. While serving in Thailand he became aware of the problems inside neighboring Burma and during his weekends and holiday time he started volunteering to help the persecuted and suffering people inside Burma. When his term of service as a teacher was over, Mangte Pa felt called to remain in Thailand and to help inside Burma and along its border. During this time he assisted with the training and outfitting of indigenous relief teams.
In early 2006, Mangte Pa returned to the United States and helped form Farthest Corners to provide for the great spiritual, physical and educational needs for the people of Burma and other remote regions in Asia. In November 2008, Farthest Corners grew with the addition of his wife Sinte who also comes from Burma. Together, alongside their son Mangte who was born in November 2009 they continue their ministry work strengthened by God and supported by many friends, churches, and groups.
Biography of Sinte
Sinte grew up in western Burma. After graduating from high school at the age of 15 she went on to attend a seminary where she attained her Bachelor in Theology. Upon graduation she went into the mission field serving and teaching Burmese people in a small village in central Burma. A year later she was offered a full scholarship to study at a seminary in Thailand to attain her Master of Divinity (M.Div) in an International Program. It was here that she met Mangte Pa her future husband. After graduating with her M.Div., Sinte returned to Burma and taught for one year at her old seminary.
Sinte and Mangte Pa have continued in ministry together serving the people of Burma and along the border with their son Mangte born in 2009. Mangte has become a well traveled baby going wherever his parents take him along the border and inside Burma. He sees his ministry as bringing smiles to all those who meet him.
Biography of Saw Eh Kuh Lu Moo
Saw Eh Kuh Lu Moo joined Farthest Corners in 2009. He attended high school along the Thailand-Burma border and then went on to study bible at a seminary in Bangkok. It was here that he met his future wife. After graduating from seminary, Saw Eh Kuh Lu Moo served as an ordained Pastor in a church along the Thailand-Burma border. In 2009, he joined Farthest Corners to serve as a teacher-evangelist as well as to coordinate many other projects that Farthest Corners has initiated in Northern Karen State. He has a wife “Naw Sen Tien”, a daughter “Naw Easter” and a son “Saw Shalom.”
